An anniversary update is coming for Risk of Rain 2, and it grows the game in nearly every way. A good player will know when to call it quits in Risk of Rain 2, but a great player sees the end and says “we must go further.” Soon, there are going to be even more chances for insane runs in the game. The game is centered around creating the most broken build possible so you can spend hours on the same run. Reinstalled the game after restarting my computer and checking graphics drivers. Restarting my computer and will update in #3. Steam would say I am playing ROR2 but since I didn't launch it through Steam then it wouldn't let me play through the co-op service (I am just guessing). Since I was on the multiplayer screen I tried to access the shift+tab menu to invite my friend and it did not open, and the "+" symbol invite button didn't work either.
Update #2: Just bought the new expansion and it did not effect the game's inability to launch through Steam.
Steam shows I am playing it, but it still won't launch if I launch it through Steam itself. Update: I went to the file location in my drive (C:) browser and launched it though double clicking on the program in the game file. Is this something on my end? What are some workarounds? Just before that attempt I deleted the file and reinstalled the game just to see if would work but nothing changed. I would wait a little bit to see if it launches but nothing happens and then Steam shows the "play" button ready to be clicked again. The window will have something like "Risk of Rain 2 - Unity2019." with a load bar that only goes a third of the way before the window closes. I just recently reinstalled ROR2 after uninstalling it due to the game not launching fully.
